If this refers to Macbeth,
Act iii, the prophecy Macbeth received from the witches, "Banquo will have a line of dynasty" seems to be true when Fleance escapes from the murderous hands of Macbeth. Macbeth then realizes that although he has forced his own fate, he can not stop it from happening.
