President John Kennedy (1961-1963) is credited most for his skills in public persuasion and as a visionary president. He is also well rated for crisis management and handling of international relations. During his term, he stood up to the Soviets and successfully defused the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also pushed for the progress of civil rights but was assassinated in less than 1000 days in office.
