why might someone choose to use the y-intercept and the slope to graph a line?

because you could use the slope intercept form which is y=mx+b the m stands for the slope and the b stands for the y intercept. you plot the y-intercept or whatever b is then you find the slope and put your dot there making it much faster to graph a line then having to make a table.
