(3a + 5) * (2a^2 + 4a - 2) =
3a(2a^2 + 4a - 2) + 5(2a^2 + 4a - 2) =
6a^3 + 12a^2 - 6a + 10a^2 + 20a - 10 =
6a^3 + 22a^2 + 14a - 10 <===

Product means multiplication
(3a + 5)*(2a^2 + 4a - 2)
You must multiply each factor in the first paren with each factor in the second:
6a^3 + 12a^2 - 6a +10a ^ 2 + 20a - 10
Combine like terms:
6a³ + 22a² + 14a - 10
This is your answer
