How have technological innovations increased risks in business organizations?

It's either "financial systems become obsolete" or "information is shared digitally". I'm on PLATO and looked it up because I'm not sure either. Financial systems becoming obsolete is no bueno because it hurts the economy, but with digital sharing identity theft is possible if something is hacked.
