Hi!

In mathematics, the coefficient is the number value which is placed right before the variable.

So, for example - let's just say that we have this value which is 5x. In this value, the coefficient is 5!

Now, let's look at the value right next to the variable x^3. What is its value? The value is 9, which means the coefficient is 9!
