Find the slope of the line that contains the points (6, -2) and (-3, 7).

The way I used to think to figure this out is to remember that a slope is "rise over run" or y over x (y/x). You'll want to find the change of y and the change of x. There is a change of -9 between 6 and -3. The change between -2 and 7 is 9 too. 9/-9 equals -1. So the slope is -1.
