First! You have to line up the decimals.

Now you just add but bring the decimal straight down.

You have to line up the decimal, then just add.

   0.89
+ 0.657

   1.547

7 + nothing is 7

9 + 5 = 14, bring down your 4 carry your 1

8 + 6 = 14 plus the 1 you carried is 15

Just make sure you keep the decimals lined up.
