Jimmy applied the distributive property to write the equation below.

24 + 6 = 6(4 + 2)

What is Jimmy’s error?

Well for starters 24+6 = 30
When doing distributive property you would be multiplying (A)6*4 and also (B)6*2, once you get a total for each individual step (A)24 and (B) 12  you add the two together which will in turn give you a fian lanswer of 36. therefore Jimmy would be wrong in saying 24+6=6(4+2) bc 24 does not equal 36
