Its quite possible to have the same volume of two different sized boxes. I'll give an example below:

Box 1- 4 by 5 by 9 = 180 sq ft
Box 2- 9 by 5 by 4 = 180 sq ft

These two boxes look entirely different, but they still contain the same volume.

Making the cubes smaller made the number of cubes increase, the volume of the prism remained the same.
