How to rewrite an expressions with negative exponents so that the exponent is positive?

a^(-b) = 1 / (a^b)

examples : 4^(-3) = 1 / (4^3) = 1 / 64

2 + 4^(-2) = 2 + 1/(4^2) = 2 + 1/16 = 2 1/16

3 * 2^(-2) = 3 * 1 / (2^2) = 3 * 1/4 = 3/4
