A daily dose of 400 IU to 800 IU of vitamin E is proven to help delay and or prevent heart disease. The reason for this is because vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant in the body's lipid phase. It prevents lipid peroxidation. Not only that it prevents blood clotting in the arteries.
