If the line passes through (-6, -7), and has slope of 1/2, then we use directly the point-slope form of the line:

y - y0 = m (x - x0)

in our case x0= -6 ,and y0 = -7, then we have:

y - (-7) = 1/2 (x - (-6))

y + 7 = 1/2 (x + 6)

This is the equation of the line in "point-slope" form
