Given a right angle triangle

As shown:

Given ∠58

the opposite side to the angle = 22

The adjacent side to the angle = x

So,

[tex]\begin{gathered} \tan 58=\frac{\text{opposite}}{\text{adjacent}} \\ \\ \tan 58=\frac{22}{x} \end{gathered}[/tex]

solve for x:

[tex]x=\frac{22}{\tan 58}\approx13.747[/tex]

round to the nearest whole number

So, the answer will be x = 14
