X^2-6x+8=0
Step 1: Factor equation.
(x-2)(x-4)=0
Step 2: Set factors equal to 0.
x-2=0 and x-4=0
Answers: x= 2 and/or x=4

Factor to get zeros.
(X-2)(x-4)
Set each equal to zero.
So x equals 2
So x equals 4
Factor by thinking of a number that adds to negative 6 and multiplied to get 8.
Can expand using distributive property to check though it is correct.
