9 + 3.5g = 11 - 0.5g
Add 0.5g to both sides:
9 + 3.5g + 0.5g = 11 - 0.5g + 0.5g
9 + 4g = 11
Subtract 9 from both sides:
9 - 9 + 4g = 11 - 9
4g = 2
Divide both sides by 4:
4g/4 = 2/4
g = 1/2
