Answer: The English Bill of rights protected some of the basic freedoms of the people such as the right to bear arms, the right to freedom of speech, and the right to a trial by jury, also etc. Basically, the way the English Bill of Rights helped to promote democracy is it put a limit on the government's power towards its citizens and their lives.
