Answer:

1) (f+g ) x = (x²-4)+ (x+2) = x²+ x –2

2) (f - g ) x = (x²-4) – (x+2) = (x²-4)+ ( -x - 2) = x²–x–6

3) (f × g ) x = (x²-4)(x+2) = x³+2x²– 4x – 8

4) (f / g) x = (x²-4) / (x+2) = x – 2

5) ( f + g ) 4 = (x²-4)+ (x+2) = ((4²)-4)+ (4+2) = ( 16–4) + (6) = 12+6 = 18
