What is a mark up in math?

A mark up in math is how much a retailer increases, or gets over what they payed for it, Example: if I bought a bag of candy for $10, but then sold it for $15, that would be a mark up! Another example: if your product costs $50, and the selling price is $75, then the markup percentage would be 50%, $75-$50/50 Hope this helps! :)
