The revolt in Jamaica was about abolishing slavery and freeing the Jamaican people from British rule. Britain sent forces to suppress the rebellion which ended in a massacre where many Jamaican people died. The consequence was a lot of brutality for the organizers and many punishments by death that British soldiers passed mercilessly. Following the events, Britain started developing and passing laws for the emancipation of slaves.
