Explanation:

A collision is the impact of 2 objects forcefully coming together in physical contact. So for example, a gold club and gold ball. The club comes in direct contact with the gold ball causing a collision. If the golf club had double the mass of the golf ball, it would result in the gold ball having twice the momentum even if they were moving at both the same speed and direction.
