Some of these tribes such as the Indians decided to fight for their land.

Explanation:

The Indians got into conflict with these american settlers as they advanced into their lands. The Indians had long been the owners and dwellers of these lands. They were of no match to the United States army that were directed to them. At the end, these settlers through the help of the federal government, local militias were able to get the tribes from the lands that they wanted.
