To find the equation in standard form of the line. First solve for the m value - slope.

(-2,4) and (1,-2)

M = y2 - y1/ x2 - X1
M = -2 - 4/ 1 - -2
M = -6/3
M = -2.

Y - y1 = m(X - x1)
Y - 4 = -2(X + 2)
Y - 4 = -2(X + 2)
Y - 4 = -2x - 4
Y - 4 + 4 = -2x - 4 + 4
Y = -2x.
Y - Y = -2x - Y
0 = -2x - Y
-2x - Y = 0.

I believe the standard form equation of the line is -2x - Y = 0.
