Now I could be completely wrong on this but I think you need to switch x and y

F(x)=6x-9

Turn it into x=6y-9 and then solve for y.

X+9=6y divide by 6 then

X/6+9/6=y then simply

X/6+3/2=y

Y=1/6x + 3/2

(X/6 can also be 1/6x FYI)
