Answer:

Plants, algae, and certain bacteria make their own glucose through photosynthesis, the process by which plants use light to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugar. Animals obtain glucose by eating plants, and fungi and bacteria absorb glucose as they break down the tissues of plants and animals.
