Nitrogenous waste product include ammonia,urea and uric acid. Reptiles in fresh water excrete up to 70% of their waste as ammonia making use of the large water bodies as a means of disposal.

For land reptiles such as lizard and snakes they convert ammonia into uric acid and then excrete it through their cloaca.
