Use the distributive property to simplify the expression:

(-1)(4 - c) = -4 + c

Solution:

Given expression is:

(-1)(4 - c)

We have to use the distributive property to simplify the expression

By distributive property,

a( b + c) = ab + ac

where, "a" is distributed to terms inside the bracket

Therefore, from given,

[tex](-1)(4 - c)= (-1 \times 4) + (-1 \times -c)\\\\Simplify\ the\ above\\\\(-1)(4 - c)= -4 + c[/tex]

Thus the expression is simplified using distributive property
