Senator Morrill of Vermont made a speech in the senate the United States on 20 March 1872 describing the conditions of labor in the United States and all over the world. He said that the United States can be paradise of the laboring men when their wages were improved taxes were just. Secondly, skilled labor all over the world would look up to this place if the conditions of labor would improved.
