even Though, a hydrogen atom has only one electron, we know it contains a large amount of shells, so when a single electron jumps from one shell to another, a photon is emitted and then the energy difference of the shells causes a different wavelength to be released. . .

therefore the mono-electric hydrogen has many spectral lines
