Speaking of Antigone's guilt, Hameon says to Creon: Our Theban folk, with one voice, denies it. Antigone's brash disobedience has made her a folk hero among the people. This is ironic on many levels: she is a woman, she is a daughter of Oedipus, niece of the king, and soon to be daughter in law of the king.
