How does an autotroph get its food

Usually most autotrophs use photosynthesis to make their food. In photosynthesis, plants or in your case, autotroph use energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide from the air and water from the soil to make glucose. Glucose is a type of sugar that plants or autotrophs use for energy.
