Bacteriophage are the micro structures that infect the bacteria. These Bacteriophage are basically a group of virus that have nucleic acid. These nucleic acid could be single stranded or double stranded and it may be DNA or RNA.

While bacteria's have DNA in the form of single circular molecule which is in general terms referred to as chromosomes.
