answer:
[tex] \frac{2 {x}^{2} + x + 9 }{x + 1} [/tex]
solution:
[tex] \frac{2x(x + 1) + 4 - x + 5}{x + 1} = \frac{2 {x}^{2} + 2x - x + 5 + 4}{x + 1} = \frac{2 {x}^{2} + x + 9 }{x + 1} [/tex]

or maybe I should understand it in another way, then the answer would be
(x+9)/(x+1)

solution

(2x+4-x+5)/(x+1)=(x+9)/(x+1)
