√(t + 3) = 14 ← -2 both sides
  t + 3 = 196 ← square both sides
  t = 193  ← subtract 3 from both sides

5x² + 8x + 3 = 0  ← put in standard form

(5x + 3)(x + 1) = 0 ← factor

5x + 3 = 0 or x + 1 = 0 ←Zero product property

x = [tex]- \frac{3}{5} [/tex]   or x = -1
