Circumference = 2 [tex] \pi [/tex] r
                   42  = 2 [tex] \pi [/tex] r
42/(2 [tex] \pi [/tex]) = r
21/[tex] \pi [/tex] = r

Area = [tex] \pi [/tex] r²
         = [tex] \pi [/tex] (21/[tex] \pi [/tex])²
         = 21²/[tex] \pi [/tex]
         = 140.37
         ≈ 140.4
